March 2021 Update: Unexpected opportunities to teach sewing and the Truth

Greeting dear friends, and thank you for all your prayers.

We successfully completed three months of the sewing course, as well as the English. They girls are very happy, they are able to cut and sew their own dresses. We are planning to meet again to practice more. It was a blessing opportunity, often found my self-teaching and preaching as the Holy Spirit led. We are planning for another course in April.

A few years ago we shipped medical supplies and items to the Syrian refugees’ camp in Bardarash. Due to the restriction, we were not allowed to get there unless we have an official permission form the authority. I met a person who is in high authority and explained our mission, based on that, we were given the permission, and we were able to distribute the items. Thankfully, we build a bridge.
This time, I needed help form the same person to get my residency, so I could work legally. By God’s grace and help, I received it. This person called a month ago to check in if I need anything; he asked about the sewing project. His wife also has a high position; she is in charge of the women’s right. She wanted to meet with me; they live about 2 hours away from my location. I
went to their home couple of times and stayed couple of days. This family has two Christian housekeepers, one is African and the other is Georgian. They trust the Christians and they are open, which allowed me to share my testimony with them. She shared her plan about teaching sewing in her area, but I didn’t feel peace about it, I said I have to pray about it, and seek God’s
will, if this is God’s will, He will make away, and if not, He will close the door, so we could be friends; she was puzzled. This conversation led her to ask question about my faith…

The next day I was about to leave, she set next to me and said; I want to be like you, what I should do!!! I called Easter, the African lady to join me in prayers; we prayed that the Lord will show her the way. Then she asked for a Bible in Kurdish language and said that she has other friends that she would like me to meet…

On the other side, God is bringing my family closer. My brother Mohammed and His wife Nora having a marriage trial; my brother wants to have a second wife according to the Sharia law. She complained and bad mouthed him to my other siblings, they all went against her and asked for divorce. I did not judge her for whatever she said; I listened, prayed, and comforted her. The Lord gave me words of wisdom, and I used biblical scriptures, she listened and appreciated it. I spoke to both of them on a daily basis for almost three months; I even invited her to visit me in Kurdistan. By God grace, my brother changed his mind of having a second wife; their relationship went back to normal. It’s amazing how God used this trial to turn the enemy into a
friend. I am very thankful.

May the Lord bless you all.

Raymonda Samawi.
